The Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) and the Men's Health Network (MHN) will convene a webinar to convey breast cancer as a family health issue, spanning the roles that men can play in encouraging women in their lives to be screened, educating men on ways to handle a breast cancer diagnosis in the family and emphasizing the fact that men can also be victims of breast cancer. The webinar will also launch a checklist co-created by SBI and MHN, with the goal of educating men on breast cancer and ways to talk about breast cancer with loved ones.

This webinar is the first of a four-part series entitled "Business and Operations: How to Support and Grow Your Practice from the Ground Up." The first installment, "Business Plan Development: How to Ensure Your Plan Is the Most Effective" was presented by Dr. Vilert Loving on July 13, 2021.

This session will explain the importance of a business plan in obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, list the components of a basic business plan, and wdescribe how to create a basic business plan for a new service at one's breast radiology practice. SBI Webinar: Marketing and Customer Loyalty

Marketing involves the understanding of customers' needs. Businesses with effective marketing strategies succeed by identifying and satisfying these customer needs. Breast radiology practices that execute effective marketing strategies will better advertise their patient-centered care and build customer loyalty.

Dr. Stowe Shoemaker, (PhD, Cornell University) is the Dean of the Harrah College of Hospitality at UNLV with extensive background in pricing, revenue management, consumer behavior, and customer loyalty programs. In this webinar on "Marketing and Customer Loyalty," Dr. Shoemaker will explain the purpose of business marketing and describe examples of effective marketing strategies from other industries.
