- Understand that molecular breast imaging (MBI) is a functional imaging modality for breast cancer supplemental screening, diagnosis, staging, neoadjuvant systemic therapy response evaluation, and problem-solving.
- Learn that MBI positioning that mirrors mammographic projections, availability of the MBI lexicon that is similar to the BI-RADS lexicon, and short interpretation times allow easy implementation of MBI in daily breast imaging workflow.
- Understand that ongoing developments in MBI technology with low-dose, high-quality imaging techniques can lead to continued reduction of the radiation dose associated with MBI.
