This webinar will focus on the Hispanic/Latino community and how we can better serve this patient population. Experts will examine the disparities and discuss how to improve health equity in breast imaging among this population.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define cultural competency in healthcare.
  2. Discuss Hispanic/Latino cultural perspectives and values regarding health and healthcare.
  3. Recognize different approaches to establish rapport and build a relationship with Hispanic/Latino patients. 
  4. Review cultural values that play an important role in the health of the Hispanic/Latino population.
  5. Describe the similarities, as well as, variability among Hispanic subgroups.

The American College of Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician Credit Designation
The American College of Radiology designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Instructions to Receive Credit

In order to successfully complete the activity, participants must complete the post-test with a passing score of 80% or higher. A maximum of 3 attempts will be allowed. Upon successful completion of the post-test, participants must complete an activity evaluation and claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity.
